Karasuma Nijo Agaru Makieya-cho is a reference for the detailed address of Shoyeido's Kunjyukan. Historically, commerce of Makie - gold lacquer items was common in Makieya-cho. In this quarter, artisans created many fine works of gold lacquerware. Shoyeido, which over the years has been deeply associated with the business of incense, exhibits these gold-lacquered utensils in tribute.
