KARANI HALL

The name of this hall is derived from a combination of Shoyeido's actual street address: "Karasuma and Nijo." From here, one can partake of the beautiful views of Higashiyama, from Mount Hiei to Mount Daimonji. The hall's ceiling is ornately decorated with Karakami paper. Karani Hall was conceived as a special place for events and lectures, where both local residents and guests to Kunjyukan can interact.
*Guests can enter this area when events hosted by Shoyeido take place.
